Nielsen Norman Group is delighted to announce our new President and CEO, Kara Pernice.
Dr. Jakob Nielsen and Dr. Don Norman, the company’s co-founders and owners, chose Kara Pernice as the best person to lead NN/g into the future. Kara has contributed immeasurably to NN/g’s success, and is committed to the quality of work that NN/g has always delivered.
Kara’s extensive leadership and business experience, in addition to her UX expertise, make her a natural fit for this role. Among Kara’s many contributions is the popular UX Certification program, which she envisioned and built. Kara is supported by a highly-capable executive team, as well as an exceptionally talented staff of UX professionals. As a team, they look forward to ushering NN/g into its next exciting phase.
Don and Jakob, who acted as NN/g’s president for the past 25 years, are world-famous experts in design and user experience. Their many contributions to the world of UX, beginning in the 1980’s, continue to greatly impact the field today. As they choose to pursue their current dreams, like writing and traveling, we wish them the best and remain grateful for their continued guidance and support.
